We are looking for an experienced Lead software engineer for the following Responsibilities:

- Design, implement and maintain the software product, related APIs and frameworks

- Produce modular, robust and high-performance software

- Produce clear, legible and well-documented code

- Interact with clients, provide minimal support

- Work alone and/or with a small team

 

Must have:

- Deep knowledge of Java, its core libraries and standard 3rd-party libraries

- 4+ years of experience working with large, high-quality, server-side software systems

- Solid experience working in Unix/Linux environments

- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

- Devoted user of best practices for software development

- Basic understanding of networking and network protocols

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability and willingness to lead

 

Nice to have:

- Bachelor's degree in CS, Math, Physics or Engineering.  Advanced degree is a plus

- Experience with machine learning, data mining, and/or signal analysis

- Experience with non-relational databases or indexers (e.g. Lucene, MongoDB)

- Experience working with big data, scalability, Hadoop/HBase

- Experience with industrial automation environments and/or related protocols and standards (Modbus, PROFINET...)

- Experience with security, anomaly/intrusion detection

- Experience with web-based front-end development
